Informal Education

Amit grew up in Haifa, Israel and today lives in Tel Aviv. She completed her Bachelor's degree in the PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and her Master’s degree in American Jewish studies in the Ruderman program at the University of Haifa. In the past, Amit served as an emissary on behalf of the Jewish Agency for Israel in Toronto, Canada, and as a counselor on various programs for Jewish teens and young adults such as Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim (TRY), Diller Teen Fellows, Masa Israel and Onward. Before joining AMHSI as Director of Hadracha (Counselors) and Informal Education, she worked as a Pedagogical coordinator for the Israeli NGO "Educating for Excellence", working with young children in the Peripheral neighborhoods of Tel Aviv.
